Why Can’t Solar Panels be Used Directly?

Solar panels can indeed be used directly to generate electricity from sunlight. In fact, that’s their primary purpose. Solar panels, also known as photovoltaic (PV) panels, convert sunlight directly into electricity using the photovoltaic effect.
